About Me

I am anthropologist, working at the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. As my passion has always been nature, my latest research is dedicated to the issues of nature conservation. I am particularly interested in human-wildlife relations, which I examine predominantly within human-brown bear cohabitation in Rodopi Mountains in Bulgaria. I believe that we should exceed the Anthropocene and its anthropocentrism and embrace the diverse non-human world, therefore I use multispecies approach in my research, which grant animals respective role and rights in the diversified world we all share. I hope that my research can contribute a little bit to a more successful and just conservation in our aim to protect the world’s biodiversity! I will be happy if you get in touch with me and share your own thoughts and ideas!
